of the basic requirements is included in our adoption application

Couples who meet the following basic criteria may apply to adopt a child from CFLS:
- Residents
of North Dakota or Minnesota
- Married a minimum of 3 years at the time of application
- An established pattern of infertility or inability to carry a
pregnancy to term
- High
school graduates
- At least 25 years of age and one of whom is no more than 40 years
of age at the time of application
- No more
than 1 other child in the home (At times this has been waived
to allow for placement of a 3rd child into a family)
- Active
church members of any Christian denomination
- Personal beliefs, lifestyle, and home are consistent
with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

**Exceptions may be made to some of these basic requirements in
the case of placement of special needs children or Native
American children, or in the event that our waiting list is low
at a particular time. Each case is evaluated on an individual basis.
